Echinacea is also called Coneflower. The Echinacea Green Twister gets striking flowers in the summer. They stand out because of their size and colours: a combination of a red heart surrounded by contrasting green petals. Even when the flower has finished blooming and the green leaves hang down discoloured, this flower still has ornamental value. An added bonus is that during the flowering period there is a coming and going of countless bumblebees and butterflies. Height 70-80 cm.The Echinacea is suitable for sunny locations and performs best in fertile soil that is not too wet. Give this plant a layer of compost of 3 to 4 centimetres every autumn, so that it does not have to compete as much with other species for nutrients.
