Product omschrijving"Pink hanging begonias (Begonia pendula) are double-flowered. They look best in flower pots and planters. They also do very well in hanging baskets. Hanging begonias bloom all summer until frost
You can plant the tubers of the hanging begonias in fresh potting soil in the spring, after the last frost. Use a flower pot or planter with holes in the bottom, so that the water can drain well. Cover the bottom with potsherds or a layer of hydro grains. Put the potting soil in the flower pot and place the begonia tuber on it. Cover the tuber with 1-2 cm of soil. Space the tubers about 30-50 cm apart. Water the begonia immediately after planting. Hanging begonias grow and flower well in partial shade.
By regularly cutting off the spent begonia flowers, you promote reblooming. Protect begonias from bright sun rays. The soil around the tuber should not be too wet, because in very wet soil the begonia tuber can rot.
Begonia tubers are very easy to overwinter. Lift the plants after the first frost. Shake the soil from the tuber and place the begonia in a crate with peat dust or sharp sand. Store the begonia tubers in a frost-free area. You can plant them again next spring."
